The major objective of the meeting was to set 2010 goals for NAR Commercial.  Prime among them is to conduct Congressional Roundtable meetings. Several meetings have been held to keep Representatives aware of commercial real estate market issues – especially liquidity for loans; more in-district meetings are scheduled.  Are your members constituents of a House Financial Services Committee member? CCIM/Select Leaders Survey Finds Firms Plan to Hire In 2010
Results of the 2010 Real Estate Hiring Trends Survey reveal that more than one-third of employers plan to hire in 2010, while almost half of the respondents believe industry compensation will remain flat.  The survey was conducted in late December and includes responses from CCIM Career Center and Select Leaders Job Site Network employers.  Two-thirds of respondents also said their firms slashed jobs in 2009.  Where do real estate employers believe their firms’ hiring needs and total compensation packages are headed in 2010?  Read the survey results to find out.
